Just two and half months into 2021, women everywhere have reasons to celebrate these historic wins.

Kamala Harris is America’s first Madame VP.

Women make up just over a quarter of all members of Congress, the highest percentage and the most racially and ethnically diverse in US history.

Rosalind Brewer is set to become the first Black female CEO of a Fortune 500 company.

Chloe Zhao wins Best Director at the 2021 Golden Globes, the first Asian ever and first woman since 1983 to do so.

Anya Taylor-Joy won Best Actress in a Limited Series at the 2021 Golden Globes, is the first Latina to do so.

Nadine Ijewere is the first Black woman to shoot a cover for American Vogue.

While there have certainly been strides in various aspects of life, much work still needs to be done. In corporate America for example, #metoo and sexual discrimination remain a prevalent issue. Pay disparities abound, as do double standards around paid time off, family, promotion and general professional support.

Yet women are looking hopefully at a brighter year and future, so in our continued spirit of inspiration through amplifying diverse images, voices and experiences, pocstock is taking this Women’s History Month to celebrate the beauty of women across all walks and stages of life. We just launched a new series of programs that elevate and celebrate women worldwide. First, we are excited to introduce our newly-launched Women’s HerStory Collection, which was carefully curated to reflect women in every mood and action, from breaking barriers in the workplace, to climbing to the top of the mountain, to breathing life into the world.

In addition, we have had the honor of meeting many women leaders over the past few months from a variety of industries, who have taken the lead from historic trailblazers from Madame CJ Walker and started their own business, to Lilly Ledbetter in advocating for fair, equitable pay. We want you to meet these women, too — head over to our YouTube channel to watch them tell their stories, how they’ve shattered the proverbial glass ceiling, and hear the advice they would give the younger generation.

The culmination of our monthly program is our Women’s HerStory Month livestream event. “Shattered Ceilings” is sure to be an impactful and inspiring conversation with women leaders at the top of their respective fields. Our esteemed panel includes Aisha Glover, VP, Urban Innovation at Audible; Antonique Smith, Grammy-nominated singer and actress; Avis Yates Rivers, CEO of Technology Concepts Group International; and Dee Marshall, CEO of Diverse & Engaged.

Join us on Thursday, March 25th to hear their tales of climbing the ladder and how they encourage and inspire other women to do same. Register now on our pocstock Facebook page.
