To say that the last 18 months have been a whirlwind would be a gross understatement. From the global COVID-19 pandemic and its multiple variants, to the global protests in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death, to a highly contentious US presidential election and even more turbulent transfer of power, it was hard for anyone to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But here we are in mid-summer 2021, enjoying long days, warm weather and glimmering signs of hope.
People are traveling again, visiting family, hugging each other, meeting friends for dinner, taking vacations for much-needed stress relief and of course to post pics on the ‘gram. Some are returning to old jobs or getting new ones. More companies feel comfortable enough to safely bring employees back into the office for hybrid remote/in-person work arrangements. And children are getting ready to return to school. It’s a familiarity that many have looked forward to since last year. And it’s something we wish to celebrate.
